Mugache Ladoo

Ah, Mugache Ladoo (मुगाचे लाडू) is a simple, rustic Maharashtrian sweet made from moong dal (green gram). It’s nourishing, protein-rich, and usually made during festivals like Nag Panchami, Ganesh Chaturthi, or Diwali, or even as a wholesome snack for kids.
Ingredients:
Moong dal (1 cup / 250 gms)
Powdered sugar (1 cup)
Ghee (1/2 cup)
Chopped cashew nuts and almond
Green cardamom and nutmeg (jaifal) powder
Raisin
Steps:
Roast Moong Dal: Take moong dal in a pre-heated pan and roast it well on medium flame, stirring continuously until it becomes golden and aromatic.
Cool and Grind: Remove the roasted dal in a bowl and let it come to room temperature. Then, grind the moong dal into a powder.
Roast Moong Dal Powder with Ghee: Roast the ground moong dal powder in the same pre-heated pan. Add ghee and mix well, ensuring it is roasted very well.
Cool Again: Remove the roasted moong dal powder mixture to a bowl and let it come to room temperature.
Add Other Ingredients: Add powdered sugar, green cardamom and jaifal (nutmeg) powder, and crushed almonds and cashew nuts powder to the roasted moong dal mixture and mix well.
Add More Ghee: Add the remaining ghee and mix well with your hands until the mixture comes together.
Shape Ladoos: Take a handful of the batter and shape them into round ladoos.
Garnish: Place a raisin on top of each ladoo.
